About Velvaere Spa

When should I arrive for my treatment?

  • 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled time.

Is the spa accessible?

  • Yes.

Where are you located?

  • On Le Pole Square, in Dublin 8.

Do you offer food?

  • No, not the full meals. We do offer a light refreshment after the treatments in our Relaxation Suite.

Is there a parking on site?

  • The closest car park would be the Q Park Christ Church, 5-minute walk to the spa.

Do you accept vouchers?

  • We accept only Velvære Spa vouchers. They can be purchased on our website or in the spa.

Do you have a couple’s room?

  • No, but we usually can book treatments at the same time allowing for time in Relaxation Suite and Thermal suite together.

Are the facilities co-ed?

  • The Thermal Suite and Relaxation Suite are co–ed, except for separate changing rooms.
  • Can I buy products to use at home or as a gift?
    • We have CODAGE Paris & iSClinical product range’s, both are available to purchase online or here in the spa.

What are the Thermal Suite Facilities?

Steam Room

The steam room temperature is 45-50 degrees with a humidity level of 100%.

Finnish Dry Sauna

our Finnish Dry Sauna operates at a temperature of 75-80 degrees. This is a dry heat experience to aid the release of stress and muscular tension.

Hydrotherapy Pool

The heated indoor hydrotherapy pool has a water temperature of 33-35 degrees. Guests enjoy moving around the therapeutic features that include – swan neck fountain, air loungers and water jets.

Experience Showers

  • The Caribbean Storm Shower

This shower offers visual stimulants and is not recommended for people with epilepsy or any eyes sensitivity. Caribbean storm showers offer the experience of soft caressing tropical rain, misty fog and a tropical aroma just like in the jungle.

This experience takes place over a short period of time, accompanied by lighting effects. There are four Caribbean Storm programs providing alternating combinations of warm and cold water —  lighting combinations and changes of aroma.

  • Bucket Shower.

This shower offers guests a very special refreshing experience after a steam room or a sauna session. By pulling the chain, the wooden bucket, (which is attached to the wall or the ceiling), tilts and releases a gush of water. The temperature of the water is between 16-18 degrees. This causes the body, (heated by the sauna session), to cool down abruptly – the contrast offers a real benefit for your health and particularly the immune system. The alternation between strong heat and cold stimuli trains the vessels, stimulates metabolism, helps regulate heat and improves blood circulation.

Heated loungers

Heated electrically, our tiled loungers provide a constant warm heat and offer comfort while relaxing.

 

Do I need to shower before using the Thermal Suite facilities?

  • We strongly encourage showering ahead of using the facilities for hygiene reasons.

Can I book a child for a treatment or Thermal Suite?

  • Velvære Spa is adults only spa, over the age of 18.

Can I book a Day pass at Velvære Spa?

  • We offer an hourly pass to the Thermal Suite. The price is €50 per person. To ensure our guests always get the best experience, we offer a limited number of passes and we recommend that guests call/email spa directly.

What do I bring with me?

  • Guests will only need a swimsuit. We provide bathrobes, towels, disposable slippers and bottled water. Our changing rooms offer a selection of amenities for your comfort – shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, body lotion, dental kit, vanity kit, feminine kit, combs, etc.

Is there a hair dryer?

  • Yes, we have hair dryers in our changing rooms.

Can I book with a specific therapist?

  • Yes, providing they are working that day. If you are making an online booking, please leave a note under the booking.

Can I have treatments if pregnant?

  • The first trimester of pregnancy is a delicate time, expectant mothers must be over 12 weeks pregnant for any body or face treatments.

I have a specific health condition, can I have treatments? 

  • We would advise contacting us ahead of your treatment. Kindly advise us of any health conditions, allergies, injuries or other medical complications, which could affect your treatment and to ensure the correct treatment for you.

Do you do a deep tissue massage?

  • The closest to a deep tissue massage would be our Therapeutic massage.

 

What other attractions, restaurants or hotels are located close to Velvære Spa?

  • Radisson Blu Royal Hotel Dublin is located next to Velvære Spa, hotel guests receive an exclusive discount in the Spa. Old Town Café and Old Town Restaurant & Wine Bar are all located in Le Pole Square in Dublin 8. Velvaere Spa is a short walk from locations such as Dublin Castle, St Patrick’s Cathedral, Vicar Street, George’s Street, Grafton Street and other bustling urban areas.

Do you offer group bookings at Velvære Spa?

  • For groups of 5 and over we recommend to enquire directly via phone or email for best experience.

General queries for visitors to Velvære Spa in Dublin city

Are you Hijab friendly?

  • Our treatment rooms are fully private, and guests can request gender specific therapists, however our Thermal Suite and Relaxation Suite are open co-ed areas, and we cannot guarantee a private space.

Where can I buy a swimsuit?

  • As we have a very central location, many shops are available within the walking distance.

What refreshments are available?

  • This varies based on the season. You can expect a light, healthy snack made with seasonal products, along with organic teas, and water enriched with vitamins & minerals.
  • We also offer prosecco with a charge.

Is there anything special I can request for a birthday, anniversary etc?

  • We will do our best to accommodate, if requested in advance.

Do I need to pay a deposit?

  • Yes, we require a deposit to secure your booking – 50% of the total amount paid via secure payment link from the comfort of your home. If the deposit has not been prepaid, we will cancel the reservation after 24h.

Do I get a refund if I cancel?

  • We have a cancellation policy in place – if your booking is cancelled at least 24h before the booking time, we refund the full amount. If it is within 24h, we reserve our right to keep the full amount.

Can I use my phone during the treatment?

  • We do not recommend using any devices during your spa treatment as it affects your overall relaxation.

Do I need to remove my jewellery for my treatment?

  • We would recommend removing all jewellery – earrings, necklace, bracelets, watches, piercings to allow our therapists to provide best possible treatment.

If I arrive late, will I still get my treatment in full?

  • A late arrival will reduce the length of the scheduled treatment time, the price will remain unaffected even if the treatment time is reduced.

If I am feeling unwell during my visit, what should I do?

  • Please inform our team members immediately.

Can I smoke or vape in the spa?

  • Smoking or vaping is not allowed.

Can I take photos/videos in the spa?

  • Taking photos and videos is not allowed as a consideration to all of our guests visiting Velvære Spa.

Is Velvære Spa responsible for my belongings?

  • Velvære Spa is not liable for any personal possessions lost in the spa, so we advise that you keep your valuables safe.

Where do I leave my belongings?

  • We offer lockers in our changing rooms for all guests to safely store their belongings.

Can I pay on the phone?

  • Unfortunately, we do not accept payments via phone call.

Do you have a Gym?

  • Yes Velvære Spa has a fully equipped Fitness Suite and we offer Membership.

Can Gym Members use the Spa facilities?

  • Gym Members benefit from discounts off treatments as well as access to our Thermal Suite. Members benefit from 20% off treatments and retail products in addition to access to the Thermal Suite being included in your membership.
